Aerium’s FPC-to-microcoax adapter is a modular interconnect solution designed to overcome the limitations of traditional FFC/FPC cables, including inefficient routing, limited bend control, and unmanageable cable slack. It converts flat flex cables into a flexible, highly routable microcoax system, improving both mechanical handling and overall design cleanliness without requiring device modifications.
The solution enables plug-and-play integration, improves mechanical reliability, and delivers enhanced signal integrity through superior shielding and reduced EMI. Its fully modular architecture allows independent configuration on both ends, making it easy to match exact pinouts without redesigning the cable.
It supports standard 2-lane MIPI and is available with 15-pin (0.5 mm), 15-pin (1.0 mm), and 22-pin (0.5 mm) connectors, each offered in forward and reverse polarity configurations consistent with standard FFC/FPC orientations. A 4-lane MIPI implementation is coming soon.
