History of Aerium Systems

2021
Foundation and Propulsion Innovation
Aerium Systems was founded in 2021 with a mission to redefine UAV propulsion systems. The company began by pioneering variable pitch propeller designs for quadcopters, enabling drones to achieve greater flight efficiency, endurance, and payload capacity. To support this, Aerium developed custom control boards specifically for variable pitch management, incorporating in-house developed algorithms to precisely regulate blade angle and optimize thrust response. This innovation laid a strong technical foundation for Aerium’s future advancements in autonomous aerial systems.

2022
Sub-250g Drone, First Flight Controller, and GPS Module
In 2022, Aerium advanced its vision by creating a sub-250g drone platform—a lightweight yet high-performance system that adhered to global ultralight UAV regulations. This drone was fully powered by in-house designed electronics, and marked the debut of Aerium’s first proprietary flight controller. Additionally, the company developed its first GPS module, further solidifying its capability to build essential navigation components internally. Unified Avionics and AI-Driven Applications
In 2023, the focus shifted to mission computers that brought intelligent autonomy to Aerium’s platforms. Aerium dedicated 2024 to extensive stress testing, quality assurance, and prototyping, validating all core components under demanding conditions.
